One of the main research topics of the European-scale program EuroGENESIS involves modeling of stars at different stages of evolution. Stars are, of course,
multidimensional rotating objects often exhibiting mixing (and mass loss) episodes. Different approaches have been adopted to tackle these processes in
stars. It is our feeling, probably shared by many other stellar modelers, that the expertise achieved in the modeling of, say, massive stars, can help in the modeling of
similar processes in other astrophysical scenarios such as, for instance, classical novae or AGBs. Therefore, the goal of this mini-workshop is to share/exchange information
on different strategies adopted by different groups in the modeling of mixing, convection, rotation and mass-loss (among others) in stars.
WORKSHOP
This will be a 2-day workshop, arranged in sessions covering, among others, the following topics:
The program will rely on a few invited review talks, aimed at setting the scene for follow-up
discussions (in the spirit of a real workshop!). Indeed, this workshop attemptss to skip the usual scheme adopted
in conferences, where most of the time is devoted to regular presentations. Instead, we heavily plan on
spending most of our time sharing expertise and (friendly!) discussing different approaches to address
the relevant physical processes outlined above. More details will be available soon at this webpage.

CONFERENCE SITE
The workshop will take place at the Conference room of the Escola Industrial (UPC) , which is
conveniently located downtown Barcelona (C. Comte d'Urgell, 187),
http://www.euetib.upc.edu/. Created in 1904, the modernist buildings
of the Escola Industrial have hosted major scientific events. In february 1923, Albert Einstein gave here a talk on
relativity.

Information on how to reach the Escola Industrial from Barcelona airport and main train station, together with additional maps, is available
here. Look for instructions at the end of the web page,
for the UPC Campus Urgell .
ACCOMMODATION
A number of rooms have been pre-booked at Hotel U232,
right in front of the Conference site. Accommodation
will be handled directly through the organizers, who will eventually contact registered people for booking details.
Since the workshop starts in the morning of April 18, arrival the night before is strongly advised. We plan
to finish by friday, April 19, by 5PM. More details will be given at the Conference webpage soon.
RESTAURANTS AROUND THE CONFERENCE VENUE
There are many good restaurants close to the Conference venue. Nevertheless we provide a short list of good restaurants, by no means exhaustive…
Please note that this dinner is on your own (EuroGENESIS participants could be reimbursed for a maximum of 21 euros per meal).
